I spent the day hiking at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois … what a gorgeous day to be outside. There are many, many steps in the park … thankfully, they lead to wonderful views.
I loved the wonderful color and texture of the sandstone canyons.
There were a few wildflowers in bloom … not sure what these are, but they reminded me a bit of bleeding hearts.
And we even got to see the white pelicans.
And I loved walking through the woods and hearing the sounds of the waterfalls.
