The theme at My Time to Craft this week is to create using a Nautical design.
I spent hours and hours at the library when I was young, and loved the wonderful adventures that I experienced through reading … including a journey down the Mississippi with Huck Finn. I always loved reading the library card inside the book and wondering about the people who had read the book before me.
I thought it would be fun to stamp the riverboat from Artistic Outpost's new Huck Finn set on a library card pocket. I used my Prismacolor pencils to add some color to the flowing Mississippi River.
On the library card itself I stamped the title of the book & another image of Huck and the river boat.

Brilliant! I love how you added a bit of colour here and there and left the remaining uncoloured.
WOW…excellent!!!!
Cool card, Stef! Love that steamboat! 🙂
What a neat card and design. Just watched a piece on Mark Twain on PBS recently-interesting.
I think I should like to steal this idea–how clever to utilize the fact that a library card/book pocket takes a journey! Gorgeous art, too!
Wow! Perfect medium for a book-themed project! Fabulous!
What a beautiful idea, love the image. Thanks for sharing with us at MTTC this week.
