Once Upon a Springtime

The Challenge at the Let's Get Shabby blog is an Easter or Spring card in the style of Beatrix Potter (ooops, just read the fine print that said it can't be combined with any other challenge … oh well, it was fun to make any way).

Since one of the gorgeous samples from the design team was made from Graphic45's Once Upon A Springtime Collection, I went to see what I ahd left.  I have already used up all of the cute little bunny papers, but I thought the fairy with the Easter chick would fit the bill to capture the design style I was after.

I punched the image from the paper and used this week's Get Sketchy layout.

I added a pearl floral flouish from the Michael's $1 bin, as well as a sentiment & fairy postage stamp cut from the papers from the same collection.  I finished with lots of distressing and sponged Distress Inks to "shabby" it up a bit more.

  1. Pretty, pretty, pretty! I am almost bought some of this stuff (but I gotta hold back till I am employed again!). Love the color palette!

  2. I absolutely LOVE this! I have been hesitant to purchase this paper because I know I don’t want to cut it up, but this is stunning!
