I had to laugh a bit since the holiday tree I grew up with had some heirloom ornaments for sure, but not the classy collectible kind most people think of … my sister's blog post explains it better than I ever could … so it was fun to design inspired by more traditional heirloom ornaments like these gorgeous Louis Tiffany designs.
When I was searching for inspiration, I found these stunning digital heirloom ornaments designed by Sabre at The Quill and Parchment & decided to make this gorgeous purple one the focal point of my design. I added digital background paper from Sara Schmutz' School is in Session Digi-kit (sometimes digital cards are so easy, they almost feel like cheating) … mass-producible and mailable … my favorite kind of card design.
I added some Chrystal Ice Stickle Sparkle and a Hero Arts Greeting stamped in Blackberry Chalk ink.
