The current challenge at the Impression Obsession Blog is "My Favorite Things". I bought this Dream Butterfly image because it captured some of my favorite things. It reminded me of driving through the Iowa countryside marveling at the miles and miles of corn and soybean fields; appreciating the last of the fall flowers before winter arrives; and the pop of color from the barns that dot the landscape.
Since the Basic Grey Challenge this week is Wings, I chose Pyrus Designer Papers to use with this week's Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You … I loved how I was able to incorporate the fall color palette from the papers into the pencil coloring of my image. Something Complete Different is also celebrating Wings this week.
I finished with some sheer wired ribbon and a tiny bloom to bring out the orange/red of my barn.
