I love the fabulous inspiration photo at The Shabby Tea Room this week … I also loved the idea of creating a vintage Halloween design. I used this week's Friday's Sketchers Sketch for my layout.
I started with a great Inkadinkado Chandelier as my focal point & incorporated the great vintage patterns and colors of My Mind's Eye Spider's Web collection into my design.
I framed my Chandelier with a vintage frame hand-cut from Hambly Frame Wallpaper transparency for this week's Just Us Girls' Technique Challenge to incorporate acetate.
I added several punches including Martha Stewart Lace Border and McGill Vintage Label punch for the sentiment, which is from Crafty Secrets Chandelier Fun.
I finished with a vintage lace bow and vintage lace flower (I found a big bag filled with all sorts of vintage lace at the thrift store). I made the flower by attaching a thick 3-D glue dot and gathering the lace around in a circle & attaching a black vintage glass button to the center.
Since bats "hang out" for Halloween (yes, my own puns do make me laugh … my husband says if you can't amuse yourself, you might as well give-up), I added a few punched once for the finishing touch.
