I love the fabulous folk art painting that is this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger … a combination of pink and orange is always a favorite of mine.
The fall colors really arrived in Iowa this weekend. It was fun taking my morning walk listening to the leaves crunch under my feet.
For my card, I stamped one of my favorite trees twice (unfortunately no name on the stamp, so I don't know who makes it) by inking it first with pink, then over-inked with orange on the edges & brown on the trunk. I cut each tree out leaving a white border around the edges.
I created my happy landscape with wavy border punched ground & cloud paper, framing with dark brown and gold to bring in the other colors from the painting. I colored in the tree bases with multiple shades of brown colored pencil.
I finished with a happy little sentiment from SRM Stickers.

ok, you realize of course, that as soon as i hear “HAPPY” and “TREES” in the same sentence i’ve got BOB ROSS stuck in my head for the rest of the day!!! (…which is not NECESSARILY a bad thing, i s’pose…) he’d’ve definitely approved of this lovely card, as do i!!! ♥
