Tonight I needed a masculine congratulations/good luck card big enough for co-workers to sign. One of our team members is moving to a new position in the finance area of our company, so I knew wanted to incorporate some numbers into the design.
However, in the process of trying to come up with a design, I discovered that the good luck sentiments in my collection are very limited (if you have a good set that you love, let me know). I finally decided on this fun Inkadinkado sentiment, which worked great with the number-theme and this week's Get Sketchy! sketch.
I embossed Core'dinations cardstock with the Cuttlebug Numbers Collage embossing folder and sanded it. I attached my punched border to my strip of orange designer paper, and then ran the entire piece through the Oriental Weave embossing folder. I finished with a textured button layered with a fabric button to pull a little more orange into the design. The finished card is 5"x 6 1/2", which is large enough for everyone to write a note.
OMG Steph! I love love love this card! I’ve got several of these kid’s sayings, but I hadn’t seen this one yet. It is just PERFECT for the occasion! 🙂 Super layout too!
What a great saying. Never heard that one before. Fabulous card.
