I love clowns, but my husband hates them … so every time I make a card with the Artistic Outpost Send in the Clowns he cringes when I show it to him. He declared this one "the worst card you've ever made" … which, given his clown aversion, I take as a compliment.
I used some very vibrant 6" Happy Day SEI papers that I picked up at my local scrapbooking store this weekend. I only wish they had the solid papers on the revers like they do on the large papers. The design is Kazan's Sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You.
The clown face was stamped in Orchid Pastel Chalk ink on ivory cardstock. I accented his nose with Orchid glitter pen & replaced his tiny hat with a punched party hat.
I completed my design with an SRM sticker sentiment.
oh please delete my above comment LOL there are a few words missing there…
what i was trying to say was i am in your hubby’S TEAM OF no-likey-clowns.
Phew
That is TOO FUNNY about your husband. Now you know how to really torture him. Love that orchid clown!
So fun and bright! I love this take on the sketch Stef!
I too am in that realm of clowns are creepy…but despite that, I think your card turned out great!
I love SRM stickers and they sure look great on this card Stef 🙂 Your hubby is sooo funny. I am not a fan of clowns either but I can appreciate this happy one!
Thanks for joining us at 2S4Y this week

hehe… your story makes me laugh 😀 love the little hat on top, and that paper is perfect!!
oh wow! how utterly FAB! i really struggled with that sketch, and thus i admire how effortlessly–and WONDERFULLY– this meets the criteria without looking contrived! i mean, you see it and think, “GREAT CARD!” rather than, “nice version of the sketch”! (that sounded more complimentary INSIDE my head…BUT i’m hoping you’ll kwim!)
PS: i am neutral on clowns, but hate magicians, just in case you’re keeping score at home! 🙂
Super cute. Thanks for playing along with 2 Sketches 4 You!
totally love this card. Thanks for sharing it. I want to know where you found such a great clown stamp!
