This week's SCS Inspiration Challenge comes from the eco-friendly online store Green Rainbow. My card was inspired by this Hook Board "Bike Skinny". I loved the combination of the woodgrain background (which also worked for this week's Cards Blog Challenge) with the bicycle image.
I started by stamping the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background in creamy brown chalk ink on a natural card base. Next I stamped the bicycle with basket from Artistic Outpost's A Lovely Day & a sentiment from Daisy Bucket in India ink.
I wanted to fill my basket with flowers, so I created a mask and stamped these tiny flowers from a Basic Grey Delta clear stamp set Loving You More Each Day multiple times.
I finished with a little sponging along the bottom to ground my bicycle & some tiny A Muse bling in fuchsia, purple & turquoise to decorate my blooms.
I hope you find inspiration … can't wait to see what you create.
**ETA … thanks for the tip on the one layer card challenge … I'm way behind on my blog following after traveling this week.
oooh i love the wood design!!! i will try to paint it… as always you have done an excellent job with this. i wonder how you always stay so close to the inspiration, and to top it you make art of your own out of it… i remember that painting inspired card aaah! too good.
Great job Steff. I like what you have done here. Very inspiring
SO cute, Stef! Wouldn’t it work for Kristina Werner’s one layer card challenge, too? (Just sayin’ you might as well add a third challenge in… although, I’m not sure when the deadline is.) 🙂
