This morning I needed to make a birthday card for a 12-year-old boy (actually I needed to make it last week, but it slipped off my radar). For me, young men cards are always a challenge. I went with one of my go-to masculine collections ~ Cogsmo by Cosmo Cricket. The sketch is this week's Unscripted Sketch, which also had a piggyback challenge to incorporate a paint chip into your design.
To stick with the robot theme of the paper, I used the parachuting robot stamp from Bam Pop! stamped on a journaling card from the collection with paper-piecing on the parachute. The sentiment is from SRM Stickers (perfect when you need to go across multiple layers of paper like I did here).
This rocks! Love the robot and your use of the sketch and paint chip. The red really “pops” too. Great to have you join US again Stef!

oh YEAH!!! i loooooove those bampop robots and i think this is the PERFECT card for that (yes, i agree, difficult!) demographic group!!! (teen-ish boys, i mean; not space robots. though, i suspect probably space robots WOULD also enjoy bright colors and an excellent combination of patterns such as you’ve assembled here…so let’s bear that in mind, ok??!!!) 🙂
WOW way to rock the sketch AND piggyback challenge!! Awesome job. Thanks for joining us this week at Unscripted Sketches

Wow, this card rocks! There’s so much going on but it all comes together well. Love how the paint chip goes with the dsp. Fabulous work, thanks for being Unscripted!
