Thrive

The prompt for this week's 52-Card Pick-Up comes from a post called Because We ARE Worth It from Ink on My Fingers.  She discusses her process of learning to be her own cheerleader and support herself, rather than tear herself down with negative self-talk.  This also reminded me of one of the Heart the Art Prompts ~ Thrive (I realized after I finished that I already did a page for that prompt … oh well, two pages is even better).  Because, until you love yourself & support yourself, you will never be able to truly thrive.

The quote in the center was my starting piece, and then I built my page from there.  My base is some of my favorite Basic Grey paper (Scarlet's Letter).  I added several stamped flourishes, thickers letters, and a repeating sentiment from CatsLife Press

The finishing touch was to sponge around a chipboard cut-out of a women I got from Random Arts (Wholey Formations Die Cuts … very cool).  Then I added an extra-big heart (because to love yourself you need an extra-big heart) and the words heal, because finally reaching this place in your life is a truly healing and cathartic process … and oh, so empowering.

I love how the close-up looks like a cool ATC.

Thanks ladies for the inspiration.

  1. Very impressive Steff. Love how you embellished and added to the patterned paper, makes it really special. And the way you sponged the heart within the woman’s outline,.. awesome
