Colors of Love

Today's challenge at the Jacksonbelle Blog is to make a card using colors and embellishments that mean love to me.   Use JBE092 if you upload to a gallery or link your card to the Jacksonbelle Challenge Post.

I knew right away that my "love color" was hot pink. However, the more I thought about it, the lyrics to the Stevie Nick's Song Leather and Lace kept coming to mind.  In our marriage, Denim and Lace seemed more appropriate, so I incorporated those into my design as well (which also works for the Cards Blog challenge to make a Valentine using fabric).

I stamped Hero Arts Antique Brocade Cling Stamp on a scrap of denim fabric.  I then attached a heart template and cut out my heart (centering it on the design).  I used another scrap of denim for the card base.

I finished with some eyelet lace, My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas paper (remember, Christmas papers aren't just for Christmas cards) and a sticker sentiment.  The sketch is from CPS.
