Jen is back with her Sketch For You To Try this week with a chance to win an awesome prize package. I combined it with the Embellish Ribbon Color Challenge (turquoise, pink & brown) & The Creative Type challenge to use type on embellishments.
I printed a quote from Nathaniel Hawthorne ~ Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you. ~ in brown Vivaldi 14 point italic font on pink cardstock. The circles and one layer of the larger butterfly embellishment were punched from the texty paper.
I layered four punched butterflies for the center embellishment with Hero Arts gems for the body.
The finishing touches are some fun swirled ribbon from Hobby Lobby and a sentiment from Artistic Outpost's Bluebird plate.
That’s beautiful! I love those layered butterflies, I will be copying that idea!
