I've been thinking a lot about Haiti since the earthquake. I volunteered at a medical/dental clinic just outside of Port-au-Prince during the summer of 1985 … a life changing experience. Here are a few photos from my journey.
The market area in Port-au-Prince
We hiked up to a village in the mountains to deliver medical supplies. The mothers loved us to hold their beautiful babies. Behind me is their shelter, which was like a lot of the "houses" in Haiti.
A beautiful Cathedral in Port-au-Prince
Gorgeous sunset … each night we would sit outside and listen to the Voodoo ceremony drums resonating from the hillsides.

oh wow, i didn’t know you’d been to haiti… (gorgeous pics!) …it must be even more appalling to you to see the current state of affairs.
