This week's Tuesday Triggerat the Moxie Fab bloc was this fantastic Matine Patchwork Stocking from Pottery Barn.
The patterns in the stocking reminded me of papers from the Christmas Past collection from Graphic 45. I also though this week CardPatterns Sketch had a perfect patchwork design for incorporating multiple patterns.
The main panel vintage Santa scene and the tiny Santa face were Christmas Past tags that are included with the Graphic 45 collection, so there's no stamping on this card.
I knew I wanted to incorporate some velvet into my design inspired by the velvet cuff on the stocking, however my red velvet ribbon was a shade to bright to coordinate with my papers. The solutions … a spray of Red Velvet Glimmer Mist not only darkened the ribbon to the right shade, but also added a subtle sparkle.
Wow! Fabulous job with both challenges!
Gorgeous vintage card, works beautifully for both challenges!
