Send in the Clowns was one of the first popular songs I remember memorizing … not sure why, and I'm sure I didn't grasp the meaning of the lyrics, but I can still sing it to this day (and yes, it is currently stuck in my head). So when I won a free set of stamps from Artistic Outpost, I chose Send in the Clowns (over my husband's objection … he is not a big clown fan).
This card turned out even better on paper than I imaged in my head. I love how the clown's hand is positioned, so with two little pokes from my craft knife, he is holding a flower (of course, it's one of those flowers that squirts water). I used this week's CPS Sketch 127.
The papers are from a fun new Mod Retro Stack by DCWV that I picked up on my road trip. I added painted highlights to the Clown with Royal Red Shimmerz.

adorable image & sentiment !
Great to see the new DCWV in action here – I’m trying away to stay away from stacks at the moment ! lol
Now I know why kids think clowns are scary…that image is way too cheerful! Great colors and DP!
Wow – great image and just love how the flower pops!
Wow…what a fun card. Love the paper.
Great card! I love the way you put the flower in his hand! Nice touch!
Love that clown…such a gorgeous card!!!
I really like this, Stef! People REALLY do have issues with clowns, but you know what, when it is as well done and celebrated as yours is: it’s WONDERFUL! I can smell freshly roasting peanuts! Great job, you fabulous stamping gal!
Love that clown, no wonders you chose that set. Hubby can hide his head if he is an scardy cat. hehe I had to put the new stacks back this week but I did love the new ones they released. To bad I have to pay for food or they would have been MINE! Love the card and sneaky water squirtin flower. Linda aka Oz
Great card Stef! Love the cheery clown, the paper and papers are perfect.
He did turn out very cute and I love the way you made this fit the CPS sketch. Great colors.
How cute, love the added flower. Thanks for using Artistic Outpost images.
