Did you ever have one of those cards where you put in a lot of time and effort … and then were less than pleased with the end result? As my husband often reminds me, they can't all be winners. That is how I feel about my card for this week's SCS Inspiration Challenge. It was inspired by this Messages from the Heart Cloth Book from Chasing Fireflies.
I loved the patchwork hearts, but I should have been less literal in my design. I tried to stick with the colors in the book, but the end result seems much busier than intended. If I did it again, I would try to use more coordinating patterns and colors. To keep my heart-squares the same, I punched the heart first, and then used a template to cut the square around it.
I used lots of scraps of cardstock and DP, some embossing, and some stamping. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I love that you were so literal…super job!
