I had a really long day and was exhausted when I finally arrived at home. I didn't really feel very creative … but I knew if I spent just a little time in my studio, it would help my mind unwind, and I would get a more restful night of sleep. I don't necessarily do my best work when I'm pooped (the pink square on this card design should really be taller rectangle), but I do feel an immediate sense of relaxation when I immerse myself in the creative process.
This card uses this week's Card Positioning Sketch. I combined papers from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie collection with a wonderful quote from the Buddha by Unity Stamps. I used my Creative Memories oval cutter and distressed most of the edges and sponged on a little Ranger Tea Dye ink on the edges.
And have you checked out all of the fabulous cards using Becky Fleck's exclusive sketch in the Caardvarks Flickr Gallery? Remember, you have until January 17th to upload your card for a chance to win a fabulous kit from Studio Calico.
