Home for the Holidays

PhotoboothI had a great trip home for the holidays, despite driving in treacherous snowy conditions yesterday.  Once it got dark, the interstate traffic slowed to a crawl with lots of cars sliding off the road into the highway median.  It was one of those drives where you have to force yourself to be extremely patient, even though all you want to do is be home as quickly as possible.

I failed miserably on my holiday picture taking.  One of the only shots I got of me are these fun photobooth pictures I took with my sister.  I even got to meet blog reader Summer on Thursday (hey you!) and failed to get a photograph.

As I've mentioned before, we are a family that loves to play board games.  Our new favorite is Apples to Apples.  There are lots of fun variations and it moves quickly.  We laughed until we cried on more than one occasion.

I did get a few photographs of the local holiday light display in the City park.  My favoriteslays are the business-themed ones like these holiday teeth sponsored by a local dentist (I love that the teeth have teeth).

I also love the displays with moving parts like the elves playing volleyball.

AllisonRAK My first holiday card arrived in the mail.  Thanks so much to Allison of Stampin' When I Can for my delicious Blog Candy of Basic Grey Wassail papers that came with the wonderful holiday card.  I love the glittery brads and snow.

Don't forget – you have until midnight December 3rd to upload your inspired Card to the Caardvarks Flickr Gallery (keyword Corny) for a chance at a guest designer spot with the Caardvarks Crew.
