Fun Folded Gift Card Holder

When I saw Sharon's Fun Folds challenge (to make a card using any fold other than a standard top or side fold), I remembered these fun gift card holders I made in 2006 (here & here).  Since I need more gift card holders for this Christmas, I thought it would be fun to re-visit the design.

I start with a 4 1/2" x 9 1/4" piece of cardstock that I score 2 1/2" from each end (giving the flap a slight overlap).  By making the flaps the same size, it is easy to use two of the same size strips to cover each one (making these easier to mass produce).  I used my ticket punch on the corners.  The bottom flap is attached on each side using strong tape to form the pocket for the gift card insert.  I attached the 2 1/4" scalloped square only to the top flap of the card.  I finished with a new Studio G sentiment stamped in Dark Moss, clear embossed, and blinged-up with stickles and adhesive gems.

The gift card insert is 4 1/2" x 3 1/4".  I attach the DP on three sides forming another pocket for the gift card.  The hand-written holiday message can go on the back.
