Last night we had an Internet outage combined with a computer melt down … both requiring long hold times with customer service. Thankfully, this morning things are working again … it's hard to remember what our world was like before the technology that we take for granted today.
I did use some of the down time to work on a card for Kristina's color inspiration challenge #30 … such a peaceful color combination from the DNKY Floral Valley Duvet Cover from Bed, Bath & Beyond.
I started with my new favorite background, the Design Block Flourish from Hero Arts, stamped in ColorBox Chalk Olive Pastel and clear embossed. I thought it captured the feel of the trailing flowers on the Inspiration Duvet Cover.
The ribbon was saved from some packaging on a gift (everyone at the office has learned to save things like that for me). It is a wonderful wide satin.
I finished with a new stamp I picked up at the area stamp store by Daisy Bucket Designs. I covered the dots on each end of the sentiment with clear adhesive rhinestones. The punched border is from Martha Stewart. Finished card dimensions are approximately 4" x 7".
