Athleta Swimwear Inspired

This week’s SCS Inspiration Challenge is swimwear from Athleta.

My card was inspired by this pretty Moroccan Tile Mini Sarong.  I loved the fun pattern and red and white design of the piece.

To create a similar background effect, I used the negative Cuttlebug technique and inked my new Snowdots Embossing Folder with Ranger Watermelon ink.  Then I embossed it with clear embossing powder to bring out the color a bit more.

For the black scalloped border, I used a white colored pencil and ruler to draw two lines on the back of the paper and then used my scalloped scissors to cut along both sides.  I used my word window punch to round the corners for the A Muse sentiment.  The Bikini is from stampendous.  I colored it with Koor-i-Noor pencils and then covered it with Sakura glaze pen to finish.
