Think Pink!

Pink … Fuchsia … Magenta … whatever you call it … it is all about Pink at Caard{varks}.  In honor of our fabulous prize sponsor Pink Persimmon (who has graciously donated a prize package of their fabulosu clear stamps worth over $50 for the winner … I so NEED the Wise Old Owl and Little Red Wagon sets), the June 20th challenge is to make your best Pink creation (deadline is July 2nd at midnight).

Pink3wm_2This card seems to confirm that my paper cutter is starting to cut a little crooked :^)  I need to figure out if I can get the blade back in alignment.

I cut three different pink paint chips into tiny strips and adhered them to a white cardstock base.  When I was finished, I trimmed it to fit my card base.

I finished with adhesive glitter letters … who wouldn’t love a little kiss and hug through the mail.

Pink2wmThe next card uses more of a coral shade of pink with DP from Basic Grey Two Scoops.  I stamped the Hero Arts Collage Thinking of You in ColorBox Pink Pastel Chalk ink on Strawberry Smoothie DP and highlighted it with Sakura glitter pen.  The Autumn Leaves Ticketed is stamped on Very Berry Sundae DP, cut out, and mounted on dimensionals.

Pink1wm_6This bright fuchsia creation uses a fun pigment ink technique I learned from Roni at Ink Stains (that gal knows how to rock the ink).

I covered a piece of glossy cardstock with fuchsia pigment ink and then sprayed it liberally with water.  I used a wadded up plastic grocery bag to pounce on the wet ink to create the effect.

The Hero Arts Clear Flower Border and Stampin’ Up Make it Count sentiment are stamped in black and embossed.  I added Fiskars Threading Water punched borders and different sizes of Hero Arts clear bling stickers to complete the design.

So break out the pink & let us see your best creations!

  1. Super cards Stef 🙂
Love the background technique on the 3rd one…
Is that Fiskars punched border a punch, or are they prepunched strips?

  2. Love them all…I especially like the top one and how you did the strips…very clever. 🙂 And that second one is gorgeous…my favorite of the three.
