Drink Up! is the theme for the June 5th Challenge at Caardvarks. Please show us your wonderful beverage themed cards. Also, give a big woo hoo & triple arm pump to Laura, the newest member of the Caardvarks Crew … you’re gonna love her stuff.
This first creation features an image and sentiment from Inky Antics (a big shout out to my friend Laura who let me borrow all of her cool drink stamps … don’t you love having friends who stamp).
I colored my image with lots of glitter pens. Once upon a time, I accidentally learned that if you heat glossy accents with a heat gun, you get a textured, bubbly effect … which in this case works perfectly for my beverage (funny how being impatient sometimes works in your favor). The DP is from K&Company and I added adhesive gems to finish.
I love these fun stamps from Museum of Modern Rubber. I stamped all of the images with Memories black on a scrap of green DP. I embossed the limes for a bit more pop. I used my Sakura and Copic glitter pens to color in my glass and added the limes with pop dots from some dimension.
This paper sort of reminded me of what the world might look like to someone who’d had a few too many martinis. I purposefully stamped the All Night Media martini repeatedly by eye-balling it (rather than using a stamp-a-majig), so things wouldn’t be quite straight. I colored in the olives with a glitter pen and added the Simple Math sentiment from Cat’s Pajamas to finish the design.
Can’t wait to see your great Drink Up! designs … link them up by June 15th for a chance at the great Caardvarks prize.

Those are all so fun! I love the margarita one (limes are my favourite!)
