In honor of National Scrapbooking Day, this week’s SCS Inspiration Challenge is to make a card inspired by a scrapbook page. My card is inspired by this wonderful page by Natalie (dougnat). I loved the combination of pink, red and black. I also used the layout, stitching and the overall theme & feel of her design. I also loved that it was about Air Supply, since I have done my own share of Lost of Love creating.
I started with all sorts of red, pink and black DP scraps. I changed my sewing machine thread to black for some contrast with my zig-zag stitching (twice around my robot).
I cut the heart, ‘I love you’ balloon and You Rock from DP (some is Love Elsie!). I also paper pieced my adorable Blip from Starving Artistamps who was stamped in Warm Red on pink DP.
A big thanks to Nat for the inspiration. You can see the gallery of inspired cards here.
**LOVE** this!!! What a FABulous card! Such a great take on the sweet scrapbook LO.
Hi Stephanie. You really know how to rock a challenge. You have a very varried style which I love.
Gorgeous! Love the colours!
Great take to change from a LO to a card.
