This card combines Beate’s Inspiration Challenge – these beautiful butterfly lanterns from Coldwater Creek – and Julee’s Mojo Monday Sketch.
When I saw the butterflies on the lanterns, it reminded me of a pad of adhesive mats called Splendor by Rhonna Farrer for Autumn Leaves (found at Target). This card combines patterns from four different papers from the mat stack.
I embossed the ivory layer using my Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder and then sponged it using Aquamarine and Dark Brown ColorBox Chalk Ink.
The butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch and were attached using a small glue dot in the center, so I could bend up the wings for dimension. The sentiment is from Penny Black.
Fantastic card for both challenges, Stef!
Hugs and smiles
