Purple Snurple Micro Challenge

There’s a fun Micro Challenge going on at Caardvarks now through midnight on April Fools’ Day and the theme is PURPLE SNURPLE.  The winner will receive a gift certificate to Itty Bitty Scrap Shack, so pull out all of those purples and let us see what you can do with them.

PurplemicrowmI love purple, but when I went to make my cards for this challenge, I realized I have very little purple designer paper.  So, instead I brought out all of my purple inks to see what I could do.

I started with a scrap of purple DP I managed to find in my scrap stash and started layering on lots of different stamps in Warm Violet ColorBox Chalk Ink.

I started with a big corner flourish from Fancy Pants From the Garden in each corner.  ON the bottom right corner, I only inked up the center of the flourish.  Next I added my Rubber Stampede Moonlit Fairy at the bottom.  I finished with various Creative Words from Inkadinkado.  I love when I can create so much visual interest on a single layer card.

Purplemicro2wmFor my second Purple creation, I stamped Stampin’ Up Tres Chic in Versamark Ink on white cardstock.  Then I rubbed various shades of purple Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks over the stamped image.  I sprayed the image with matte sealer, and then inked the entire image with Versamark again and embossed with Stampin’ Up’s Dazzling Diamonds Embossing Powder.

I stamped part of the image a second time using the same technique and cut out the word believe to spotlight it.

Can’t wait to see your Purple Snurple creations.
