Masculine Gift Cards

Dihickmandecember1Thankfully, all of the men in my family love receiving cards for gifts … however, that means that I make a lot of masculine cards, which I think can be a bit more challenging than feminine ones (you can always stamp a flower).

For this one I used a great tip from Dannie’s Designs on how to turn my Stampin’ Up scallop circle punch into a medallion.  I think it has a bit more of a masculine look.  I also used the first December sketch from Di Hickman … I recently discovered her sketches, and they are always fun.

Ingredients:  Paper – My Mind’s Eye Tres Jolie Mademoiselle Mother & Mon Cheri Springtime; Chatter Box Scrapbook Walls Stepping Stones;  Ink, ColorBox Chalk Chestnut Roan; Stamps: Close to My Heart Simple Stitches, Simply Stamped Mailbox; Accessories, SU Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches.
