This week’s SCS Try a New Technique challenge was to stamp on tile. I had a few tumbled marble coasters tucked away in my stash, so I decided to break out the Staz-On and stamp some coasters.
This Cottage Swing & Dream by Stampressions was stamped in Black and colored using a pointed cotton swab with Green and Teal Staz-on. I love the peaceful simplicity of this image.
This Magenta bloom is stamped in Staz-on Midnight Blue. I like how the imperfections in the tile can be seen in the image.
I discovered these 4"x4" cork coasters at Ikea. They are perfect to adhere to the back of the marble (you can see a little cork peeking through on the swing tile). I used Elmer’s Stix-All adhesive to attach the cork to the marble. A few more holiday gifts are ready to go.

Wow, these are both gorgeous, but I REALLY like the one with the Magenta bloom. I know I have a few more of those tiles tucked away somewhere; gotta find ’em and play again!
these are lovely – isn’t it wonderful how a challenge can yield some wonderful results (and get you to use some things you have tucked away in your stash?) 🙂
