I love taking classes, but seldom have the opportunity. There are no more scrapbooking or stamping stores in town (other than Michael’s, which really doesn’t offer any stamping classes), so it requires a commute to access classes. And then when there is a class I want to attend, it usually doesn’t work into my schedule or it fills up before I get around to registering. So I was excited when Sarah Bowen at Piece of Work announced that she was going to teach on-line Christmas classes with a Twelve Days of My Christmas theme. And, even better, it was only $20, which is what I usually have to pay for a single class … not twelve. The class website even has a Christmas soundtrack, so I can listen to music while I create.
This was my card from the first class. I had fun creating a forest of trees from dictionary pages and a scrap of velvet flocked paper. I bought a dictionary at a used book store during the summer, but this was the first time I cut into the pages. I used the Christmas definitions for my trees.
I loved being able to create at my own pace in my own studio … very fun.
This is gorgeous. Really enjoying Sarah’s class as well. Can’t wait to see more of your work!
Cheers
