This is a double challenge creation that reminded me why I seldom use micro-beads. I not only have a bead covered card, but also a bead covered table and bead covered carpet. Once those little beads start rolling around, they are very difficult to catch.
This card is for the Caardvarks Weekend Micro Bead Challenge. I was also inspired by the SCS Inspiration Challenge, which was this beautiful beaded handbag.
I decided to make one of my favorite purse cards that incorporates the purple and teal colors from the handbag. I make my purses by measuring 1 1/2′ in from each side of the fold on a standard card base. I then cut from the mark to the bottom corner of the card to get identical angles on each side.
I covered the purse front with a purple metallic specialty paper. Then I used two pieces of 3/4" Incredi-Tape across the card. The tape was covered with dark green iris 11/0 seed beads which have a purple/green opalescent color. Three primas were attached with a decorative brad and a glue dot was used to add it to the purse. The purse handle was attached to the back of the card with more glue dots.
You always have the most amazing and beautiful cards! This one is no exception!
