For Beate’s weekend sketch #14, I went searching for tall vertical stamps that would work for the framed element. I decided to make two different takes on this fun layout.
The first highlights corn … it fills the Iowa landscape during this time of year. The stamp is by Mountin’ Rubber Stamps in Milan, Illinois, one of the last stores within driving distance that focuses on rubber stamping. Unfortunately, the owners have announced that they are retiring and it will be closing soon. The sentiment combines a DCWV cardstock sticker and a Basic Grey small metal word.
The second focuses on a quote stamp called "Her Brain" by River City Rubberworks. I love their unique stamps. I got this stamp at Stamp Thyme in Lockport, Illinois (south of Chicago). It’s a great store with a wide-range of inventory from many stamping companies that are organized by both theme and manufacturer. The sentiment is a sticker by 7Gypsies made into a charm and attached to ribbon with a jewelry jump ring.
A big thanks to Beate for another great challenge.
