Well, I didn’t win the most recent Caardvarks ribbon challenge, however I have had the marvelous pleasure of being a winner of some of their previous contests. The card that won the ribbon challenge was awesome. I am always so inspired by the designs of the many talented artists who submit their work.
This *{make a wish}* card won the Charm card challenge. I cut out a cardstock heart and used Judikins diamond glaze to adhere a variety of red buttons from my button jar. I tied a ribbon around the heart and attached the fun "follow your dreams" charm with a jump ring. I layered Basic Grey Scarlet’s Letter designer paper on red cardstock before attaching it to the card front. I added the white Wholy Cow rub-on by Basic Grey.
It is one of my favorite creations. Go check out their current 1-2-3 Challenge.
I always appreciate an inspiring quote. Here’s one for today:
"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." ~ Jack London, Author
Love buttons so this card really got my attention. As I child I played for hours in my grandmother’s button jar!! Love this great layout! :)) Liz (aka lazylizard)
