Carol Duval would call this card a ‘tuck-in’ — something that is more than a card, but less than a gift. I enjoy making cards that also include a little suprise for the recipient, in this case a book mark.
The Sunday challenge on SCS features stamper’s work to inspire your creations. This week’s featured stamper is 88 keys, and I chose her fun bookmark pocket card for inspiration.
This card is made from a 6×6" pad of K&Company Basic Grey paper that I found on clearance at JoAnn’s Etc on our last trip to Kansas City. The card base and pocket flap are a sparkley grey-blue card stock. I attached the Basic Grey pocket to the cardstock using 1/8" incredi-tape, a very strong acid-free, permanent adhesive that works great for these types of projects.
The Dr. Seuss quote on the bookmark is a stamp by Custer’s Last Stamp that I love. I believe in the power of surrounding yourself with words and objects that inspire you, so I wanted to put something encouraging on the bookmark. This fun bookmark has been tucked-inside the pocket card and is already in the mail.
Holy Toledo! I totally needed those words – I really think I need that sentiment now! *LOVE* it!
