Christmas in April

As many of you know, I make holiday cards all year long, so I have enough when December rolls around.

Today I’m sharing two Christmas cards I made with STAMPlorations Quick Cards #15 – Simply Christmas A2 Card Fronts.

For the first one, I used some new watercolors to paint the STAMPlorations Holiday Lattes Poinsettia Coffee Cup to match the Poinsettia card front from the STAMPlorations Christmas A2 Card Fronts. I started by painting it with pinks and then came back in and added layers of red. Finally, I added some ivory shimmer paint. I painted the cup green and used the green and ivory shimmer for the lid.

While the paint was still wet, I used my heat gun to help me round the cup. I used multiple layers of foam tape in the center to keep the cup’s rounded shape as I attached it.

Underneath the card front is the STAMPlorations Industrial Patchwork Collage Paper ultimately attached to a white card base. I finished with a STAMPlorations Simple Christmas Clear Sentiment Sticker and some green enamel dots.

For the second card, I started by attaching the Christmas Trees & Gifts from the STAMPlorations Simply Christmas Card Fronts on one of my GelliArts Gel Printed papers that pulled in colors from several of the abstract Christmas Trees.

I added one of the Christmas cuties from the STAMPlorations Christmas Ephemera #1 using foam tape and added a STAMPlorations Good Tidings Clear Sticker Sentiment. The final touch was a gold Love from Lizi Peel-off sticker across the stop of the card front panel.
