Stripes for Christmas

This week at Jingle Belles we're celebrating the Stars and/or Stripes with our cards.

I started with scraps of striped paper from PhotoPlay's Not a Creature was Stirring that were filled with stripes and built my slimline card using other paper scraps and a collection of striped (I call plaid a stripe) washi tape.

I added one of the images from the same collection (which sneaks in some stars) and finished with some sequins and a stamped sentiment from Impress Holiday Word Set (did you ever think about Santa decorating his own Christmas tree?).

We're also teaming-up with the Double Trouble Challenge where they're doing Christmas in July, so there is double the fun.  We've got a fun prize for one participant as well, so come join the fun.

  1. So fun, Stef – I LOVE all these festive papers! I always imagined Santa got elves to do his tree, but now I think not, lol. This makes me smile! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

  3. Using a variety of patterned papers and washi tape is a great way to pull in your stars and stripes and fill in a slimline background… and love Santa decorating his tree. Nice selection of scraps. And I was wondering about plaids, I see stripes in them too… in fact I had asked my daughter if she thought they counted as stripes and she said no… I’ll have to tell her it’s okay… lol. Thanks for sharing your DT card with us at Double Trouble.
